Dear friends, how are you? I had a intense week with my sick chipmunk who luckily looks beeing better now!
Being forced to stay at home is really difficult with kids, they easily get bored and nervous and we have to think on any kind of tricks to entertain them!
So, to have some fun together, we messed up a bit in the kitchen!! What is better?
Yesterday afternoon her little cousin finally came to play and they had a very yummy snack:
my honey cake with chocolate drops prepared previously with the precious help of my daughter.
This cake does not have even a gramme of sugar because it is totally substituted by honey, which not only makes the cake sweet, but it gives a great aroma. We wanted to enrich the butter with chocolate drops, so loved by kids…and adults too!
The honey cake with chocolate drops is perfect for breakfast or as a snack during the day. It is easy to prepare and really delicious: try it and let me know how it goes!
Honey cake with chocolate drops
Ingredients for a 20-22 cm baking tin:
150 gr honey
200 gr plain flour
50 gr potato flour
100 gr butter
1 sachet of yeast for sweets
50 gr dark chocolate drops
Whisk the eggs with honey.
Add the flour, constantly whisking until the mixture is smooth and homogeneous.
Melt the butter and pour together with the other ingredients.
Finally, add the yeast.
Add the chocolate drops and mix with a spatula.
Grease a baking tin with butter and add some flour to avoid the cake stick on it. Pour the mixture into the baking tin and bake for 25-30 minutes at 180°.
When cooked, allow it to cool and remove from the tin.
Buon appetito, your honey cake with chocolate drops is ready!
