Country potatoes are delicious chips with the skin cooked in the frying pan, flavoured with different spices, such as paprika, just a little bit spicy and really fragrant.
Until now, I ate country potatoes at the Mexican restaurant or at the pizzeria: here usually they serve the frozen type, so it is easy to understand that you do not need to be a great chef to cook them!
Yesterday, I found great potatoes at the supermarket, with a thin skin, so i decided to cook them immediately without peeling them and try to prepare at home the country type: delicious!
Here is when my husband tells me he loves me!
The country potatoes are perfect to be served with meat, but if you are vegetarian or vegan you can just eat them alone: you will see what a yummy dish! You won’t stop eating them, trust me!

Ingredients for 4 people:

600 g fresh potatoes
2 tbs sweet paprika
2 ts tabasco sauce
2 ts worcestershire sauce
1 tbs oregano
1/2 ts salt
1 clove of garlic
Extra virgin olive oil to fry

Preparation:

Wash the potatoes and accurately brush them to remove the dirt.
Cut into slices and allow to rest for 30 minutes in cold water.
Dry well.
Brown a clove of garlic in a frying pan with a generous amount of Extra virgin olive oil.
When the oil is hot, fry the potatoes on each side, take the garlic away from the pan, low the heat and add the sweet paprika, the tabasco sauce, the worcestershire sauce, salt and oregano. Cook for 10 minutes.
When ready, dry the potatoes with a paper towel and serve hot.
You can eat the country potatoes plain or with any kind of sauce you like (for example I really love them with the BBQ sauce).
