There are days in which I focus on a specific food and I desperately want to eat it…have you ever felt this way? How I wish it happened with salads! I am talking about rich food, very rich food which makes me feel happy and….fatty!!! Sometimes I manage to fight this feeling…other times…well, I just concentrate on my soul happiness!!! That is how I create the blue cheese, walnuts and cocoa pasta!
To summarise, yesterday I could only think of pasta, blue cheese and walnuts: I was home, alone, so I prepared a big plate of blue cheese and walnuts pasta just for me, using fresh pasta. Then, I had an idea: why not to sprinkle some cocoa powder on it? It was simply delicious.
If you think blue cheese and cocoa powder have nothing to share, I advise you to taste it: I know it could seem strange but… it is nothing but delicious and easy to prepare!
Blue cheese, walnuts and cocoa pasta
Ingredients for 4 people:
500 gr fresh pasta
100 gr sweet blue cheese
100 ml fresh cream
50 gr walnuts (no shells)
2 tbs cocoa powder
Pour the cream into a pot and heat it.
When hot add the blue cheese cut in pieces and allow it to completely melt.
Chop the walnuts and add to the sauce.
Cook the pasta in hot, salted water; drain it “al dente” and add to the sauce.
Cook on high heat for a couple of minutes, then add some more walnuts and sprinkle with sifted cocoa powder.
Your blue cheese, walnuts and cocoa pasta is ready!
One more tip:
To make this dish even more delicious, after you have sprinkled the cocoa powder, add some breadcrumbs and put it in the oven for a bit!
